Sheet Music

Hi there Parents and Adult Students,

You are here because you or your child are now able to start learning favourite songs in piano lessons - which is very exciting!

Learning favourite songs creates a love for learning music by constantly inspiring and motivating students, while also being very educational, and of course simply a lot of fun!

You may remember that we gift our new students a membership to the sheet music website musicnotes.com

Musicnotes.com is the leading provider in digital sheet music,

and as a member you will:

  • have access to over 400,000 high-quality arrangements (did you know that free sheet music is usually littered with mistakes and errors?)

  • receive 15% off all sheet music

  • have access to free PDF copies of your sheet music, usually $2 without membership (which will make it very easy for you to send a copy to your teacher or your child’s teacher in preparation for the next piano lesson)

Now we would like you to become a member of this website, however, we are unfortunately unable to directly purchase this as a ‘gift’ for you…

So instead we simply give you a gift voucher for the same amount as a PRO Membership - $20 AUD for your first year - which you will find in your email inbox, and if you can please become a member now by pressing the button below.

As well as providing us with the opportunity to gift something to our new students, the main reason we do this is to make it easier for you to manage sheet music for you or your child’s piano lessons.

Now AFTER you’ve become a member, please:

  1. Go to your inbox to access your gift voucher, and you will also find a link to the first piece(s) of sheet music we would like you to purchase promptly for you or your child’s next piano lesson (by doing this AFTER you purchase the membership, you’ll be able to use your gift voucher for your first song(s) AND you’ll also have your remaining credit waiting in your account for future purchases).

  2. Enter your unique code into the ‘Coupons and Gift Cards’ box at checkout when making your purchase.

  3. Promptly email your teacher a PDF copy of the sheet music accessible via the musicnotes.com website. If you have any difficulties with this process you can simply send a photo of the print out from your phone.

  4. Print out the sheet music in preparation for you or your child’s next piano lesson.

For intermediate and advanced students we request that you only purchase sheet music that we recommend because we will choose the correct level for you or your child (there are sometimes up to 20 versions of a song available at various difficulty levels!)

However, if you or your child are a beginner student, we recommend you sit down (together) now and buy some songs written in the Beginner Notes format (where the letter name is written in the head of the note) which you can find on this page HERE. And simply promptly email your teacher a copy before you or your child’s next piano lesson!

And lastly, when acquiring sheet music going forward,

please remember these two important steps!

EMAIL YOUR TEACHER A COPY

Please get in the habit of sending a copy of the sheet music to your teacher promptly because your teacher will often need to send you an additional annotated copy to print out BEFORE your next lesson or your child’s next lesson.

PRINT OUT THE SHEET MUSIC BEFORE YOUR LESSON

For parents of school students, it is extremely important that students have a copy of their favourite songs printed out in time for their lesson, otherwise they may not be able to participate in half of their next lesson when looking at songs of choice.
